Project Brief

Initially, East Anglia Competitions were using Wix as a platform for their competitions. Over time, the owners began to see that Wix wouldn’t be able to keep up with the growing demand; the website lacked compliance and functionality from an end-user point of view. EAC commissioned Visionary Hub Space to deliver the solution and build a Wordpress website that would facilitate sales and allocate ticket numbers, creating a stable platform that their business would be able to grow with. We also carried out a rebrand as part of the project, delivering strong branding and eye-catching assets for the business to use for the years to come. Since moving to our platform, 1 year later, we’re proud to say that East Anglia Competitions has seen growth of over 1000%.

Going The Extra Mile

We found that users were often unaware of the time-sensitive nature of competitions; they needed to be able to clearly see when competitions were closed or closing, so we installed a custom draw date banner that adapts on the 2 final days to display ‘Draws Tomorrow’ or ‘Draws Today.’

We also wanted people to be able to easily find all the information they need in order for them to become an informed customer and trust the website at first sight, in particular needing them to be able to view how many tickets are in a particular draw and see exactly how many have sold. To solve this, we opted for a front-end ticket counter and a custom ‘tickets left’ tile.

We’re so good, East Anglia doubled up and launched another website with us.

Following the original success of East Anglia Competitions, they chose to partner up with Visionary Hub Space once more – thus, East Anglia National Competitions was born! This venture came in the form of a second website, with the purpose of opening up their competitions to residents from the rest of the UK.
